Dennis Eagle – Garbage truck (electric)

In 2009, a development project commenced with Dennis Eagle in the UK to bring the Elite 2 chassis to Australia. This comprehensive project involved a global engineering effort that included engineers from Australia, the United Kingdom, and North America. The project team focused on integrating leading European and North American technology with the proven advantages of the Dennis Eagle chassis and tailored the final product specifically to the service requirements of the Australian market.

Description

4 x 2 Dual Control and RHS Models
The 4×2 configuration has a turning radius of 16.3 metres making it nimble and easy to drive. Maneuverability has not been traded for strength however, with the 4 x 2 offering a 16.5 tonne maximum plated vehicle weight.

Equipped with a Cummins (Euro 5) ISLe 280 bhp 6 cylinder, 8.9 litre in-line diesel engine and a 315 litre alloy fuel tank with locking cap (with 35 litre AdBlue Reservoir), the Dennis Eagle Elite 4 x 2 has plenty of power while maintaining a fantastic fuel range.
